Glossary

List of terms and abbreviations used in the documentation:

Secure IoT platform - hardware and software complex for collecting, storing and processing data from IoT devices.
Collection server - the key element of the Collection System, performing the function of collecting, processing and storing data.
Collection System Services - algorithms for processing incoming data.
Component palette - hidden side menu of the Collection System
Collection System Module - logically complete functional section of the Collection System.
Resource supplier - Resource supplying company.
Equipment manufacturer - a company that produces various equipment for accounting of consumed resource
Consumer - a unique record in the Collection System, describing an individual/legal entity that is a user of the Resource Supplier’s services.
Personal account - personal page of the User with maximum restrictions in the Collection System.
Telemetry Unit - a transmitting device integrated into the System, a device for transmitting data from a final measuring device.
Meter - a measuring device installed at the Consumer.
Metering Device Model - a software element of the Collection System that describes a specific metering device installed at the Consumer’s Metering Node.
Metering Unit - a unique entry in the Collection System consisting of a combination of the Meter and Telemetry Unit devices.
Service Organization - an organization that performs functions for servicing metering units.
User - a person who has the rights to view and/or manage elements of the Collection System.
Access Roles - a set of permissions that open the possibility of viewing and editing data in the Collection System
Manual - a document describing the process of interaction between the Collection System and the User.
